Church ceremony in the Catholic church by a Protestant priest in the centre of Titisee. Ca. 1 hour with a mix of English and German.

After the church ceremony, the informal celebrations begin! We are too tight to buy champagne, so it will be fizzy wine or orange juice / sparkling water for the more sensible among us. Indulge in a small snack on the church square or in the garden.

It is a tradition at German weddings to drink coffee and eat cake (analogue to an afternoon tea). We will try and get some scones or rock cakes sorted as well! Alex suggested we offer a salad buffet instead, however Franzi quickly put a stop to this – at least all the sugar and caffeine will keep everyone sharp.

At 16:00 we will stroll down to the lake at an appropriate pace after all that cake eating and board the Götz von Berlichingen. We will set sail at ca. 16:30 and lap the lake.

We will stroll back to the „Kurhaus“ (Alex will be giving a prize to anyone who can explain the concept of „Kur“ in English) for dinner. A selection of local specialities will be served. Additionally, vegan options for animal sympathisers, and any healthy options Alex manages to get past Franzi, will be available.

For those of you who have made it this far, are not in a food coma, and like to boogie, your time has come! If DJ Marinica has listened to us, he will be playing bangers well into the early hours.
